Let’s Talk About Nudes

Although I have a diverse and colorful wardrobe, when it comes to my make-up bag it is full of different shades of nudes. I love a glossy nude lip, a nude smoky eye, and a bold bronzed contour. Some may say that by sticking with nude shades I am playing it safe, however I feel that they are extremely versatile. Nude shades can be taken from your everyday make-up look and turned into a more bold look for a night out. They also look great on anyone no matter your hair, eye, or skin color. Below I am going to share with you my favorite nude products for full face makeup look.

The Perfect Nude Lip

Let’s be honest ever since Kylie Jenner stepped out years ago making a statement with her nude lip, we all have been trying to find the perfect liner, lipstick, and gloss to achieve that same look. I have tried many different products over the years from matte, liquid, satin, and gloss. None of the products I found worked for me. They either washed me out or were too drying. Finally three months ago I found the perfect combo for the perfect nude lip, and I am here to share them with you.

The Marc Jacobs “Nudist” lip liner is the best lip liner that I have found. It is the perfect nude pink shade and is very hydrating. Once lining my lips I put Becca “Sugar” on top. This is a satin lipstick that is one shade lighter than the lip liner which gives more dimension to the lips. To top it off I add Fenty’s gloss “Fenty Glow”. This gloss is the holy grail of all glosses, and looks amazing worn on top of lipstick or all alone.

Smoky Nude Eyes

Five years ago I was gifted the Urban Decay “Naked 2” eye shadow pallet and fell in love. Around that time it was the most sought after pallet on the market with a number of Youtube video tutorials on how to create different looks. Over the years I have tried many different nude pallets, however I keep coming back to the Naked 2 pallet. Typically my go to everyday look is a light smoky eye using three shadows from the pallet, YDK, Busted, and Tease. I start with Tease which is a light matte brown and work out my crease. Then in the outer corner I give the eye a more bold look by blending in Busted the darker brown. After darkening up the eye I add the shimmery YDK all over the lid.

Bold Bronzed Contour

Contouring is something that took me years to perfect. After finding the right products, brushes, and watching some Youtube tutorials I feel that I now have this complex task down. I love the Benefit “Hoola” bronzer. This compact bronzer comes with its own brush which helps to contour the cheekbones. I have tried many different highlights looking for one that did not contain a ton of glitter, but one that looked as though the sun was hitting my cheekbones at all times. I finally found the perfect one. Like many other beauty fanatics my favorite is Becca “Champagne Pop”. This gives all skin tones a nice subtle glow without the glitter specs.
